What a wonderful week was had by all. The accommodation exceeded even our high expectations. Thanks also to Peter and Elspeth for their friendliness, helpfulness and hospitality. A wonderful couple who assisted us immensely with all details.
The location is made beautiful with the magnificent Chateau with just fantastic surrounds. What a place!!
Plently to do and memorable adventuring around the French countryside with visitations to numerous places of interest. The whole ambience is tryly mindblowing and has proved to be more than what we thought.
Wonderful memories of the French people and their beautiful country, thanks again Karen and Paul and again to your parents for making this a wonderful journey with our families.

We have had a fabulous 2 weeks in your lovely chateau, the first, chaotic & fun with 7 children and the second, a lovely quiet week with family. Thank you for making it such a child friendly holiday. It makes such a difference when you are coming a long way with little ones.
We very much hope to all be back for another reunion with friends and family.

A fabulous venue for a much longed reunion for some old, far-flung friends and a huge gang of kids. We’ve had a pretty perfect week and have all absolutely adored pretending this is our home for the week. I very much hope we’ll be back!
So sad to leave – it’s been the perfect week with our “Aussie friends” whom we miss so much. Lovely to have all the children together again – we’ve made a few more since we were all last together! The chateau is wonderful – thank you for making it not just beautiful to admire but also very easy to live in with children (stair gates, high chairs etc.)
We are all already planning a return visit.

Had a great time in the beautiful Chateau set in such an outstanding area. Such a wrench to have to leave! Such a marvellous place to celebrate our friend 60th.
Elspeth and Peter were so helpful (worked so hard!), and such a delightful grand daughter Emily.
Our first time in France, what a perfect introduction! Such a lovely setting, love to come back soon.

Chateau La Perriere seduces the soul and cleanses the mind – an absolute delight!
Although difficult to entice yourself away from the Chateau we recommend the Velorail (situated on the exit road from the Chateau) and the truly excellent le Grand Bleu Restaurant in the centre of Saumur.
Special thanks to Peter and Elspeth for their hospitality, good humour and excellent company.

The whole family arrived to celebrate our mothers 60th birthday. It has been absolutely perfect, thank you to Peter and Elspeth for your kind hospitality and all your help. The chateau, pool, surrounds and atmosphere has been great and we have eaten soooo much. Special thanks for all the childrens things that are so valuable when you travel with young children.

A stunning setting, beautiful area, warm welcome, comfortable surroundings with that touch of luxury, relaxed programme – all went to make it a very memorable and most enjoyable stay. Loved cycling to the boulangerie each morning and also the couple of degustations we tried.
